Today on Snack Chat we're thrilled to welcome guest blogger Jackie Swoyer. Jackie is a marketing analyst for our multipack snacks, and is here to talk about an important partnership going on in the month of October. - Joe
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and this year, Frito-Lay is stepping up for the cause as we “Lace Up Against Bullying.” With the help of PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center and national retailer Albertsons, we are giving away a free pair of orange shoelaces in select 20-count Frito-Lay Classic Mix Variety Packs across the country. Once you get your laces, share a photo of with us on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #laceupagainstbullying. Then, check out the hashtag feed to see how people across the country are sporting their laces.
Why orange, you ask? When PACER started National Bullying Prevention Month in 2006, orange was adopted as the official color of bullying prevention. You can “Make It Orange and Make It End!” on Unity Day on Wednesday, October 9, by wearing orange as a show of support for those who have been bullied.
This year, 13 million Americans will be bullied. It is a very real and very serious issue, and we are pleased to play a role in putting an end to bullying. Find out how you can spread the word in October and help prevent bullying all year long – http://www.pacer.org/bullying/nbpm/. And remember, the end of bullying begins with you!
