I've always been fascinated with how certain cities make you think of certain foods and memories. Chicago reminds me of enjoying deep dish pizza with my best friend, Minneapolis brings back great memories of enjoying walleye with my family and, despite the variety of food we have here, Dallas will always be about corn dogs (and Fritos Chili Pie!) at the State Fair of Texas. Recently, Frito-Lay Flavor Kitchen Chef Jody Denton teamed up with Laura McIntosh from Bringing It Home to develop recipes that remind them of San Francisco with flavors inspired by Lay's Kettle Cooked Sun-Dried Tomato and Parmesan potato chips.
The recipes, which include Dungeness Crab Cocktail, Angel Hair Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomato and Parmesan and Vanilla Panna Cotta with Fresh Strawberries, will make you feel like you're in the City by the Bay without leaving the comfort of your own home.
Check out the video below for Dungeness Crab Cocktail, then visit the Flavor Discoveries: San Francisco tab on the Frito-Lay Facebook page to see the rest, find the perfect wine pairing, listen to our San Francisco-inspired music playlist and enter for a chance to win Lay's Kettle Cooked potato chips!
