The beginning of December was a little more cold-lipped for me than I expected. For the month of November, I joined forces with PepsiCo employees across 22 countries as we participated in Movember, growing moustaches to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. After 30 days, I shaved off my moustache, or "mo," until next year.
Besides growing some handsome facial hair, the PepsiCo Movember team raised almost $300,000 dollars. Of that amount, $172,000 came from the U.S. network that included Frito-Lay -- way to go team! The funds we raised will be directed to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG Foundation to support a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in the areas of cancer awareness and education, survivorship and research.
PepsiCo also had the second largest global team, with 2,135 participants worldwide. That's a lot of men and women having conversations and raising awareness around a very important cause!
Below are just a few of the stylish "Mo Bros" that made this year's campaign a success for us (including yours truly). Please join me in thanking all of them in the comments below.
