Typically when we talk about delicious recipes getting remixed to create new favorites, we're talking about Fritos Pie Remix. Recently, however, the recipes for classic jambalaya and cinnamon rolls were remixed by some creative cooks to take top honors at the Big Tex Choice Awards for the State Fair of Texas. Fried Jambalaya won the title of "Best Taste" while Fried Bacon Cinnamon Rolls took the trophy for "Most Creative."
If those recipes weren't reason enough to visit the State Fair of Texas this year, we also have some exciting news: we'll be celebrating the 80th anniversary of Fritos Corn Chips at the fair too!
On October 1, starting at 10:00 a.m. Central Time, Frito-Lay will attempt to take home a Guinness World Records title for the world's largest Fritos Chili Pie. All of our fans are invited to join us at the fair for the big day, and, of course, to grab a sample of the savory, crunchy pie afterwards.
Since we know not all of our fans can come to Texas, we have one more exciting announcement. The Fritos brand will partner with Hormel Chili and support our troops through the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that offers programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life. From September 16 through October 13, consumers can look for special displays at local retailers featuring a $1-off coupon for combined purchase of Fritos corn chips and Hormel Chili. For every coupon redeemed, Fritos and Hormel Foods will donate $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project, up to $100,000.
Stay tuned to the Frito-Lay Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for more updates on the event!

Please bring back the Doritos 3D nacho cheese chips! I loved them so much! I remember getting them in the plastic container with the lid on it! Bring them back! Thanks!
