One of the many things I love about working for Frito-Lay is how we work to make snacks that everyone can enjoy including our fans who have Celiac Disease or are sensitive to gluten. In honor of National Celiac Disease Awareness month in May, we also partnered with The Recipe ReDux, a network of registered dietitians and health-conscious bloggers, to sponsor a week-long recipe challenge asking Recipe ReDux members to develop gluten free versions of traditional appetizers and meals usually off limits to the Celiac Disease and gluten sensitive communities -- and that also incorporate at least one of Frito-Lay’s qualified gluten free products.
The mouthwatering results of this contest are now available to all our fans via a new gluten free recipe section on FritoLay.com. The recipes range from savory to sweet and include tasty titles such as ‘Chicken Mexicano with Nectarine-Avocado Salsa’ and ‘Chocolate and Potato Chip Cookies.’
You may be thinking, hmmm, I don't have to eat gluten free! Well, these recipes are packed with such flavorful ingredients, they're perfect for eveyone on your party list -- whether they eat gluten free or not.
