Last week, PepsiCo Americas Foods (PAF) President John Compton kicked-off new initiative called PepsiCo on the Go!, a program aimed at motivating PAF associates (Frito-Lay, Quaker, Sabritas and Gamesa) to improve their health while helping fight global hunger.
PepsiCo on the Go!’s goal is to encourage all PAF associates to participate in healthy, physical fitness programs (walking, running, hiking, biking, swimming, etc.) to achieve personal fitness goals while helping the greater good. Collectively, the more active our associates are, the more money PAF will donate to our designated food bank partners -- Feeding America, The Global FoodBanking Network and Association Mexicana de Alimentos -- up to $1 million to help improve the health of people in the communities in which we operate.
To track our employees’ progress, a special Web site launched in which associates can log their physical activity and learn more about the PAF businesses and our food bank partners. The site also offers tips on increasing physical activity to make fitness a part of each employees lifestyle. Employees can also share their stories, inspirational tales how they’re adopting healthy lifestyles.
PepsiCo on the Go! brings our PepsiCo vision, Performance with Purpose, to life for PAF associates and the communities in which we live and work. So, stay tuned to Snack Chat – we’ll be back with progress updates and employee stories from the program.
