Last week on Snack Chat, Frito-Lay PR Coordinator Deanna McKinley guest blogged about the PepsiCo/Feed the Children event in Detroit, Misch., earlier this month. At the event, 300 Detroit Metro area associates from Frito-Lay, Pepsi Beverages Company and the PepsiCo Warehouse handed out more than 14,000 boxes of food, essentials and personal care items.
They distributed 4,000 bags of PepsiCo products including SunChips, Rold Gold pretzels and Baked! snacks from Frito-Lay; Quaker oatmeal and granola bars; Tropicana orange juice; Propel Fit water; and Lipton Brisk iced tea. PepsiCo customer Associated Food & Petroleum Dealers also donated 4,000 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Below is a brief video highlighting the contributions our associates made as part of the Feed the Children event in Detroit. We couldn't be more proud of our PepsiCo family!
I am so proud to be part of the Frito family! Giving back to the communities we serve is so easily forgotten when the economy is struggling...it's nice to see that lending a hand is still on top of the priority list in Detroit.
