Yesterday, Frito-Lay Sales associates from across the country gathered in San Diego to kick-off the 2010 National Sales Meeting, celebrating their 2009 successes and rallying to drive business results in 2010.
Sales Senior Vice President (SVP) Randy Melville opened the meeting by highlighting Sales’ 2009 accomplishments and challenging the team to ensure Frito-Lay wins in the marketplace in 2010 and beyond. Next, Randy Whaley, SVP and General Manager of Frito-Lay's single-serve portfolio, shared how Frito-Lay will innovate to better support our convenience store and small grocery customers. President and CEO Al Carey (pictured below, on stage at the meeting) closed Monday’s presentations, discussing how Frito-Lay will continue Inspiring Well-Being with our products, partners, planet and people in the months and years ahead.
Also on Monday, Sales leaders and all meeting attendees honored outstanding accomplishments from across the Sales team, including milestone service anniversaries and those serving in the military, at a special awards dinner. Also honored during the dinner were the "Winning With Pride" recipients – the best-of-the-best Route Sales Representatives, District Sales Leaders, Key Account Managers and National Account Managers at Frito-Lay.
The National Sales Meeting continues through Thursday this week, so stay tuned to Snack Chat for more event recaps, pictures and podcast interviews with meeting attendees -- our incredible sales force!
