Wednesday, the third day of this year's Frito-Lay National Sales Meeting, started with division break-out sessions, in which division teams gathered to hear presentations from various headquarters-based teams and develop strategies and plans to succeed in the market in 2010. After an afternoon spent regrouping, all of the meeting attendees joined to honor our Central Gulf Region and South Georgia Zone at an evening awards banquet.
The Central Gulf region took home the 2009 H.W. Lay award, which is named after company co-founder Herman Lay and celebrates our Sales "Region of the Year" for outstanding sales performance and success at overcoming obstacles to deliver sales and people results. Our South Georgia zone team was honored with the Dale Stortz Award, an award named after a former Frito-Lay sales leader, which designates South Georgia as our 2009 “Zone of the Year.”
