To celebrate Earth Week this week at Frito-Lay headquarters, we hosted a variety of educational and fun events to showcase the progress we've made and the work planned for the future at Frito-Lay/PepsiCo to support our commitment to environmental sustainability. Today, we rounded out the week of "green" celebration by hosting our third-annual Eco Fair, in which local vendors and internal teams set up booths to provide employees with product samples and information for sustainable living.
Some of the vendors attending the Eco Fair included:
- The City of Plano: Recycling education booth
- Texas Discovery Gardens: Butterfly and nature exhibit
- City Garage: Reusable bag stand
- Blitz: Electric moped and scooter on display
- Paciugo: All-natural gelatto and sorbet sampling
Two Frito-Lay/PepsiCo teams also participated in the Eco Fair:
- SunChips team: Distributed samples and information about the new 100 percent compostable SunChips bag
- PepsiCo Plano Ride Share team: Provided information about carpooling to work in Plano, Texas
Employees had a great time sampling the vendors' products and learning more about green living. I have a feeling this year's fair will be just as successful as the past two years were -- and expect we'll have the opportunity to host it again next year!
