On Friday, PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, with help from the DFW Talent Recruiters Network, sponsored a recruiting conference held at Frito-Lay's Plano, Texas, headquarters office. The TalentNet Live! event attracted local recruiters and HR professionals who were interested in learning the latest techniques and best practices for recruiting high-performance talent.
Various PepsiCo leaders and external guest speakers presented recruiting best practices and innovative ideas for recruiting today's technology-savvy professionals, including Bonin Bough, PepsiCo's Director of Digital and Social Media, who discussed the role of social media in recruiting. (The host groups used Facebook to advertise the event and Twitter to provide updates throughout the day.)
More than 100 participants attended the conference, and PepsiCo donated $1,000 in event entrance fees to the Fallen Heroes Family Support fund.
