Today, we announced a new partnership between Frito-Lay's SunChips brand and National Geographic to launch Green Effect, a national initiative -- kicking-off Earth Day 2009 -- that encourages consumers to take action to help make their communities greener. Consumers will be able to submit their green ideas for the chance to win one of five $20,000 grants -- money that will be used to bring the green ideas to life.
The five winners and their earth-friendly ideas will be featured in National Geographic magazine and will travel to Washington, DC to share their projects with environmental leaders. Read more about the Green Effect program on the official Web site and by watching the video below.
